Sigalei's curation is a powerful method developed by Sigalei's experts to identify and manage the political and regulatory information fundamental to elaborating an engagement strategy with stakeholders.
This method can be applied within any GovRel team and we will explain it here.
Sigalei's curation methodology consists of three movements: Qualify, Connect and Communicate
THE MOVEMENTS:
The qualification movement aims to extract relevant signals from the noise and contextualize this information in light of your institution's perspective so that they can approach, as closely as possible, decision-making.
The connect movement aims to establish connections between documents, stakeholders and themes so that it is possible to generate a network of information for the extraction of well-founded insights on intelligence work.
The communicate movement consists of sharing contextualized information with the people who have the function of outlining strategies and acting on stakeholders, so they can stay updated on relevant movements.
HOW TO DO IT IN PRACTICE:
Step 1:
Parameterize your monitoring through radars, which is the mechanism by which robots will identify relevant information. To structure a radar, it is necessary to think about the following questions to derive the keywords and filters:
1 - Which stakeholders do you want to monitor?
2 - Which topics do you want to monitor?
3 - What types of information do you want to capture?
4 - What are the sources that the stakeholders use to communicate that you want to monitor?
5 - What is the scope of the monitoring you want to do?
Step 2:
Based on the parameterization of the radars, the robots will bring potentially relevant documents. Group and read the information. Save the important ones in the database, so that they serve as input for the next step.
Step 3:
Once the information is saved, it is important to contextualize it in light of your institution's perspective. At this moment you can count on two instruments, classify by properties and/or attach qualitative information.
Step 4:
For each saved piece of information, it is important to connect them with other information to generate a knowledge base interconnected in a network through notes, allowing you to qualify the relationship between documents, themes, and stakeholders.
Step 5:
Finally, it is important to share high-relevance signals with the people on your team who need this information to build strategies and/or plan actions with stakeholders.
